Who we are
This website (chatarreroshermanos.org) is owned by Chatarreros Hermanos, based at Ctra. Benimagrell, 31-A, Playa Muchavista, El Campello (Alicante) 03560, Spain. You can reach us at [email protected] or via WhatsApp at +34 673 08 54 19.
What this website uses right now
We're being transparent: at this time the website does not use any analytics or advertising cookies. The only thing we use is:
- Strictly necessary technical storage (browser
sessionStorage): temporarily holds the list of devices you're valuing on "Value your unit" so it isn't lost if you add several before sending them via WhatsApp. It's cleared automatically when you close the tab or browser โ it's never sent to any third-party server and isn't used for tracking. This kind of storage is exempt from consent requirements, since it's strictly necessary for the service you've actively requested. - Language preference: switching between Spanish and English isn't stored automatically โ each page is served based on the URL you visit.
We don't use third-party cookies, don't share data with social networks or advertising platforms, and don't build visitor profiles.
Your choice about cookies
When you arrive on the site, we show a panel where you can choose Accept all, Reject, or Configure specific categories. If you reject, the site works exactly the same โ as explained above, we don't currently rely on any non-essential cookies.
We store your choice in your own browser (localStorage) for 12 months, so we don't ask again every visit. You can change your decision at any time via the "Cookie settings" link in the footer.
Necessary: always on โ make the site work.
Analytics: off โ would help us understand which pages get visited, in aggregate and anonymised form.
Marketing: off โ not used, and not planned for personalised advertising.
If we add analytics in the future
If we ever add an analytics tool (for example, to know how many visits the site gets), we'll update this policy with the details of those cookies (name, purpose, duration, first- or third-party), and they'll only be activated if you give explicit consent by turning on "Analytics" in the settings panel.
Your rights
Under GDPR, you can exercise your rights of access, rectification, erasure, objection, restriction and portability by writing to [email protected]. You can also file a complaint with the Spanish Data Protection Agency (aepd.es) if you believe we haven't handled your request correctly.
